Apart from being able to retrieve data about a vehicle and its owner, the portal also comes in handy when you need to look up your e-challan information, check the blacklist details of vehicles and also apply for and renew their vehicular documents with a few simple clicks. This portal is of vital importance when it comes to doing a thorough background check on the third party vehicle involved in the accident, or the seller from whom you wish to purchase the vehicle. You can see whether this vehicle actually belongs to the person who claims to be the owner, has any pending dues in the form of unpaid e-challans, or has been blacklisted by the authorities in any state in India.
So in order to check vehicle owner information online, all you need to have is the vehicle’s licence plate number. With it, you will be redirected to the vahan.nic.in page from the Parivahan Sewa website. Then you need to follow the instructions below:
Step 1: Click on the ‘Know Your Vehicle Details’ section.
Step 2: Enter the vehicle number.
Step 3: Enter the verification code or the captcha as mentioned on the page.
Step 4: Click on Search Vehicle.
Post that, you will have access to the vehicle’s information that is publicly available on the website. All the information available to you will be as follows:

To do so, you need to send VAHAN <space> vehicle’s registration number to 7738299899, and then you will get all the information about the vehicle.
